At DeLéon, we source only the finest 100% blue weber agave, ensuring the highest quality plant to create our tequila. These agave plants, cultivated in the arid regions of Jalisco, Mexico, are nurtured for a minimum of 7 years before they are hand-harvested by our skilled Jimadores.

Once harvested, the hearts of the agave, known as 'piñas', are slow-roasted in traditional brick ovens to unlock their complex flavors. This meticulous process imbues our añejo tequila with a distinctively smooth and rich character that sets it apart.

After roasting, the piñas are crushed, and the juice is left to ferment using a proprietary yeast strain. This fermentation process takes place in small batches, allowing for greater control and precision in flavor development. The resulting liquid is then distilled in copper stills, further refining its taste and ensuring a silky texture.

Our master distillers artfully blend this pure tequila, aged for a minimum of one year in American oak barrels, to create DeLéon Añejo Tequila.
