This Privacy Notice explains how LQRS handles personal information when you browse the site, create an account, use community features, manage a company record, publish content, make a paid submission, or contact the team. The exact data collected depends on the features you use and the choices you make.
1. Information we collect
- Account and identity data: username, display name, email address, authentication identifiers, profile details, avatar, security settings, and login records.
- Content and activity: reviews, questions, answers, comments, channel posts, votes, follows, saved items, reports, revisions, moderation decisions, and related timestamps.
- Business submissions: company and brand access requests, verification information, change proposals, job listings, candidate profiles, press releases, event details, contact details, invoices, and publication history.
- Support and correspondence: messages, attachments, and information supplied when you contact LQRS.
- Technical and usage data: IP address, browser and device information, request logs, referring pages, visited pages, diagnostics, security events, and consent preferences.
- Approximate location: country, region, or city inferred from an IP address or supplied by you when you correct your location. Precise device location is not required by the standard location widget.
- AI interactions: prompts, selected context, generated responses, feedback, source references, and operational metadata when AI-assisted features are used.
2. How we use information
LQRS uses personal information to provide accounts and personal tools; publish and moderate contributions; verify business access; process submissions and payments; answer support requests; personalise location-relevant content; secure the service; prevent abuse; measure performance; maintain audit histories; improve search and AI-assisted features; comply with law; and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Depending on applicable law, processing may be based on performance of a contract, legitimate interests in operating and protecting LQRS, consent, compliance with a legal obligation, or another recognised basis. You may withdraw consent for future processing where consent is the basis.
3. Cookies and similar storage
Necessary storage supports sessions, security, sign-in, language or interface choices, and privacy preferences. Optional categories such as analytics, functional services, marketing, or external media are controlled through the cookie preferences interface where enabled. A consent record may contain the chosen categories, policy version, timestamp, browser information, and a one-way hash derived from the IP address. You can reopen cookie settings and change optional choices.
4. Analytics and location services
LQRS may use privacy-focused analytics to understand aggregate traffic and improve pages. Location is normally resolved locally from an IP-to-location database. If the local lookup is unavailable and the configured fallback is enabled, the requesting IP address may be sent securely to IPGeolocation.io. You can correct the displayed city or region from the location control.
5. Payments
Paid job or press-release publishing may use Stripe Checkout. Stripe processes payment-card details under its own privacy notice. LQRS may receive and retain transaction identifiers, payment status, amount, currency, billing contact information, and webhook records needed to reconcile the submission, but does not need to store the full card number.
6. AI providers and search sources
AI-assisted requests may be sent to a configured model provider together with the prompt and the minimum context needed to answer it. Live web search may also contact external sources. Do not enter secrets, payment data, health information, or personal information about another person unless you have a lawful reason and permission. Provider choices may change; LQRS records the provider and operational metadata needed to diagnose requests.
7. When information is shared
Information may be shared with service providers acting for LQRS, such as hosting, authentication, email, analytics, geolocation, payment, storage, anti-abuse, and AI providers. Public profile and contribution information is visible to other visitors according to the feature’s settings. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect rights and safety, in connection with a reorganisation of the service, or with your direction or consent. LQRS does not present personal information as a product for sale.
8. International transfers
Service providers and visitors may be located in different countries. Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, LQRS will use an available legal mechanism and reasonable contractual or technical protections appropriate to the service.
9. Retention and security
Information is kept only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above, including account operation, publication history, moderation, fraud prevention, financial records, backups, disputes, and legal obligations. Different records have different retention periods. For example, location logs may use a configured short retention period, while audit and transaction records may need to be kept longer. LQRS uses access controls, encryption where appropriate, backups, logging, and review procedures, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
10. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information, withdraw consent, opt out of certain sharing, and appeal or complain to a regulator. California residents may have rights under the CCPA as amended; the California Privacy Protection Agency explains those rights. People protected by the GDPR can review the official regulation on EUR-Lex.
Use account controls where available or send a request through the contact page. LQRS may need to verify your identity and may retain information where an exception or legal obligation applies.
11. Children
LQRS is not directed to children. Accounts and interactive services are not available to anyone under 18, and alcohol-related access may require a higher age under local law. If you believe a child has supplied personal information, contact LQRS so it can be reviewed and removed where appropriate.
12. Updates and contact
This notice may change as features, providers, and law evolve. Material changes will be identified by a new effective date. Privacy requests and questions can be submitted through the LQRS contact page. The responsible operator is identified in the Imprint.
